Chiang Rai temples & Karen Village
- 08:00 AMÂ Pick up from the Hotel Lobby in the Early morning in Chiang Mai after enjoying breakfast at 7:00 AM to proceed to Chiang Rai in about 3 hours Scenic Drive
- 09:30 AM On the way, Stop at Mae Khachan Hot Spring and see how locals use the hosting to boil the eggs.Â
- 11:00 AM Arrive at Chiang Rai and your first stop will be at the White Temple, Locally known as Wat Rong Khun. It is a stunning contemporary Buddhist temple known for its unique white design, embellished with glass and symbols blending traditional spiritual motifs with modern artistic elements. It’s one of the most beautiful temples around Thailand.Â
- 12:00 PMÂ After enjoying your time at the white temple, proceed to The Blue Temple in Chiang Rai, a visually striking and contemporary Buddhist temple, famous for its vivid blue coloring and intricate carvings that create a serene and mystical atmosphere.
- 13:00 PMÂ After enjoying your time exploring the Blue temple, head to a local Thai restaurant to Savor a delicious Northern Thai Lunch.Â
- 14:00 PM After Lunch, head to the Black House, (Locally Known as Baan Dam Museum. It’s an art exhibit, showcasing a collection of traditional Thai houses painted in black, filled with a variety of artworks and artifacts that reflect the artist Thawan Duchanee's unique and often dark artistic vision.
- 15:00 PMÂ Proceed to The Karen Hill Tribe Village Where you can learn about the traditional lifestyle and unique customs of the Karen people, known for their distinctive textiles and the famous long-neck women adorned with brass neck rings.
- 16:00 PMÂ After enjoying your time at Karen Village, Transfer to your hotel in Chiang Rai and free time in the evening (Accommodation own arrangement)
Golden Triangle, Opium Museum & Back to Chiang Mai
- 08:00 AM Pick up from the Hotel lobby in Chiang Rai city and proceed to the Golden triangle (Around 1 hour drive from Chiang Rai City)Â
- 09:00 AM Arrive at the Golden triangle Park, a View point where you can watch the borders of the 3 Countries meeting together along the Mekong and the Ruak river.Â
- 09:30 AM: Take a private longtail boat in the Mekong river to explore further and enjoy cruising along the Mekong river, while Thailand on one side and Laos from the other side.Â
- 11:00 AM Visit the Opium House, a museum dedicated to the history of opium cultivation and trade in the region, offering insightful exhibits that explore the impact of opium on local communities and how it was a major trade in the region.Â
- 12:00 PM: Enjoy Lunch in a local restaurantÂ
- 13:00 PM Explore Chiang Saen District, one of the oldest districts in the northern Thailand and explore the local markets.
- 14:00 PM Drive Back to Chiang Mai in a 3 hours Scenic Drive
