Northern Thailand: Elephants & History

• Upon arrival at Chiang Mai International Airport, you'll be picked up in an off-road vehicle. Visit the hilltribe museum to learn about Thailand's hill people and their seven ethnic groups: Hmong, Yao, Lisu, Akha, black and red Musers, and Karen.
• Next, see the orchid farm's elegance before heading to The Chang Village (formerly Maesa Elephant Camp) to observe elephants in their jungle habitat. No demonstrations or riding involved.
• Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, then visit Hmong Village of Ban Nong Hoi Kao to witness their shift from opium poppies to cultivating vegetables and flowers. The project supports the hilltribes by selling their produce.
• Check in at Hmong Hilltribe Lodge for the night. In the cool mountain air, savor barbecued meats, Thai dishes, salads, pasta, fruits, and desserts during dinner. The evening offers entertaining Hmong cultural presentations.

• Start your day with a delightful breakfast. Take a relaxed trek through the rainforest and vegetable farms surrounding Hmong Hilltribe Lodge, leading to the charming Hmong Village of Ban Mae Khi. Afterward, it will be time to check out from the lodge.
• Embark on a scenic drive to Hang Dong en route to Samoeng. Along the way, don't miss the opportunity to have lunch at the Suan Kularb (Rose Garden) of Royal Project. The journey continues to Ban Tawai, renowned as Chiang Mai's finest handicraft center.
• Witness skilled local artisans at work, crafting their exquisite handicrafts. Finally, make your way back to Chiang Mai, where you will be transferred to your new hotel for check in, concluding the day's adventures.

• Hotel pick-up in Chiang Mai marks the start of your adventure. Upon reaching Elephant Highlands, a warm welcome awaits along with an introduction to the elephants. Take a guided walk with these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat, observing them as they graze and bathe in the river.
• The experience continues with feeding the elephants and learning about their unique stories and personalities. A delightful vegetarian buffet lunch will be served to satisfy your appetite. Engage in a hands-on project, contributing to the local community and/or elephants, such as planting trees or preparing food for them.
• Spend more quality time with the elephants, enjoying the chance to interact and feed them. As the day concludes, it will be time to bid farewell to Elephant Highlands. You will be safely transported back to your hotel, cherishing the memories of this remarkable experience.

• Arrive at Chiang Rai and First Visit the White Temple, One of the most iconic Architectural Complexes in Thailand and Asia.
• After Enjoying your time at the White Temple, Proceed to a Local restaurant to enjoy a Delicious Lunch
• After Lunch, Continue Exploring further by visiting the Blue Temple In Chiang
• After Enjoying your time, Transfer to your Hotel in Chiang Rai, Check in and Enjoy a free time for the rest of the day

• After enjoying the ride, proceed to the Opium House and explore the History of Opium in this area.
• After enjoying your time, transfer to Chiang Rai International Airport for final departure.
