Karon Beach is one of the Longest and Most Famous Beaches in Phuket. The beach is Around 4 Kilometers Length, and Located between Patong beach and Kata Beach.
The Beach is Calm and Water is crystal clear During the High Season in Phuket, which is between November and April. However in the Low Season, which is between May and October, the waves are High and Swimmers have to be careful while swimming. A lot of resorts are Located at Karon Beach area varying from 3, 4 and 5 stars accommodation options.
Facilities at Karon Beach
Unfortunately, You will not find Public Toilets available at Karon . However, most of the Restaurants around there will allow you to use their toilets either free of Charge or with a very small fee.
You will also find Beach Sellers, Selling snorkeling Kit and Similar Stuff but not as much as in Patong Beach.
There are plenty of Dining options available in Karon area. Luxury and Local restaurants are Operating with a wide price range available for meals. Some Hotel restaurants are open for The Public who wants to enjoy a meal in there, but may require a reservation pre arrival especially in the High Season.
The beach is very famous for windsurfing activities. You will also find other activities available for rent such as jet ski, Banana Boats, and sea kayaking. Snorkeling can also be done in there, but only in some spots next to the rocks especially in the southern part of the beach.
