Today the 11th of October, Mr. Prayut Chan-o-cha Thailand’s Prime Minister has announced that Thailand will reopen its Borders for International Tourists without the Need of quarantine upon arrival Starting from the first of November 2021 to Attract Tourism in the Next High Season.
The Prime Minister has mentioned that the decision might be risky, but it’s the time to take this step and that the country cannot remain like that for another third Year.
Not much details have been mentioned in Today’s meeting on whether Tourists will have to stay in Designated Hotels upon arrival or not (Same as SHA PLUS For Phuket Sandbox).
The Prime Minister has mentioned that this will only be applied for 10 Low Risk Countries during the month of November, and Starting from December, More countries will be added to the list. Among these Countries, Mr. Prayut Chan-o-cha has mentioned: The United Kingdom, The United States of America, Singapore, Germany and China (The Missing 5 were not mentioned in today’s Announcement).
Another important change in the rule that may be applied is reducing the number of Required Tests to become 1 instead of 2.
All of the above mentioned information are to be reviewed and confirmed by Thailand CCSA (Center for COVID 19 Situation Administration) on the 14th of October.
Details that have not been announced about whether the COE (Certificate of Entry) will still be required or not. Same thing for the insurance with 100,000 USD Coverage for COVID 19 Treatment expenses .
The Prime Minister has also announced that in case the COVID Situation in Thailand gets worst because of the Reopening in the next Couple of Months, More restrictions may turn back same as per current rules if Necessary.
