Bamboo Island is part of the Phi Phi archipelago and it’s a great place to visit during your trip to Phi phi island from either krabi or Phuket. Not all the Phi phi island tours include the visit to this tropical paradise. Only few operators include it after lunch and the main visits. This island is located near Phi phi Don (the main island in Phi Phi archipelago. It’s part of Krabi province.
How to reach?
You can reach Bamboo island only by boat. If you will be located in Phi phi island, you can take a private longtail boat from Tonsai village and reach in about 40 minutes. You can also take the boat from Laem thong beach and reach in only 15 minutes.
if you will be in Phuket or Krabi, it’s recommended to join one of the trips operating daily combining Bamboo with other nearby great locations as well.
Is there an entry Fee to enter Bamboo island?
Yes, there is a fee since this island belongs to Phi phi island National park. If you are visiting several islands in the same national park, you will only need to pay the fee once. The fee is 200 Thai baht per adult and 100 Thai baht per child.
