The Phuket Sandbox Extension is a Model that has been proposed and got initial Approval by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The Plan was to implement this Model Starting from the 1st of August and it has been postponed till mid of the Same month due to the Rise of COVID 19 Cases in Thailand and Some Interprovincial Travel restrictions since that time.
This Model will give more freedom for Phuket Sandbox Travelers to move around the main Tourist Destinations in the Southern Part of Thailand. These destinations are: Railay Beach in Krabi, Koh Ngai, Phi Phi Island, Khao Lak, Koh Yao, Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao.
Tourists will be able to move to these destinations after staying for at Least 7 Nights in SHA PLUS hotel in Phuket, and in case of the need of Moving to Other Destination in Thailand, They will need to Continue their Stay for another 7 Nights in one of these destinations before doing that.

The Proposal is waiting for a final approval by Thailand CCSA (Centre for COVID 19 Situation administration). That Is expected to happen on the 17th of August.
Not much details have been announced yet on how the transportation between Phuket and any of the above mentioned Destinations will be arranged. However, The Guests will need to Stay in a SHA PLUS Hotel as well in the Other Destinations, and the Third COVID Test will be conducted in there as well.

More Details will be announced within this Week on how this model will be implemented and When Guests will be able to apply for their COEs with this Model implemented.
