On the 22nd of July 2021, The CESA (Center for Economic Situation Administration) in Thailand has approved in Principle the Proposed Phuket Sandbox and On the 16th of August 2021, The CCSA (Center for COVID 19 Situation administration in Thailand) has approved the Implementation of the Proposal starting from the 17th of August 2021.
This Proposal’s Main goal is to give more freedom for International Tourists Arrivals in Phuket to be able to Travel around more Areas including Surat Thani, Krabi and Phangnga.
Tourists will have to Stay a minimum of 7 Nights in Phuket first before moving to one of the Other 3 Provinces’ Sealed Routing. After that, Tourists will be allowed to continue their Stay in a SHA Plus Hotel in one of these 3 Provinces for 7 Nights before being able to move around Freely Thailand (Other Provinces).
- Surat Thani Sealed Route Includes: Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao
- Krabi Sealed Route Includes: Phi Phi Island, Ko Ngai, and Railay Beach
- And Phang Nga Sealed Route includes: Khao Lak and Koh Yao
On the 18th of August, The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has Stated How Tourists are allowed to reach Each of these Extension Destinations. Either By Land, Boat, or Flight. Below Are the Details:
• Koh Samui: By Flight
• Khao Lak: By Land (Car)
• Phi Phi Island: By Boat
• Koh Ngai: By Boat
• Raily Beach (Krabi): By Boat
• Koh Yao Yai: By Boat
• Koh Yao Noi: By Boat
