Thailand CCSA (the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration) had a meeting today to discuss The Bangkok reopening on the 15th of October. The reopening has not been accepted, and has been Postponed at today’s meeting.
There will be further Discussions To finalize and Confirm all the details regarding the reopening plan for Bangkok and the other provinces in terms of how they will be implemented, and the timeframe for each one as well.
How Will Bangkok Reopening Probably Be Like?
Dr. Apisamai Srirangsan, The Official Speaker of Thailand CCSA has announced in today’s meeting that The Bangkok Reopening will be most likely Applied with a Similar Model as the Current Phuket Sandbox Model. She has also mentioned that the AQ Hotels (Formerly Called ASQ) will turn to SHA PLUS Hotels, as most of the Staff working at these Hotels are already Fully Vaccinated and The Hotels’ Safety standards are already meeting The SHA PLUS Requirements.
The model has to be Studied very well in deep details to allow Authorities to keep Control of its implementation. Controlling the Movement and The Domestic Travel of Tourists in and Out of Bangkok is much harder than Phuket, making the application of the Model even Harder.
The Authorities are now trying to finalize a very well Designed and planned model for this reopening to keep everyone safe and at the same time easing the restrictions as much as possible to make the model attractive for The international Vaccinated Tourists.
Bangkok is aiming to Vaccinate at least 70% of its Population to be able to Reopen. The Thai Government is gearing up to Vaccinate more People as fast as possible to reach this Goal at Soonest.
